Great program...

German, please...

Decent App

Good App bit needs waaay more words. Just the basics arent acceptable please add more in an update

Need!

This app needs more terms such as chromatic semitones diatonic, dominant.

Used to be a great app until the update

Now it crashes every time I open it!

Poor app, not recommended

Does not even have the basic words such as chromatic, diatonic, octave, etc. Very poor explanation in tempos, and multiple tempos are interpreted the same.

Cool Interface

Cool Interface. Definitions are simple and easily understandable even for non-English speaking people. Much more convenient if Twitter and email sharing functions are attached to the dictionary.

Finally!

Finally! Ive been looking for a nice music dictionary and now I have one. Im a band director and sometimes a word comes up in the music that even I have never seen. Taking my iPhone out of my pocket to look up the word with this app is great! The UI is great and the definitions are accurate and clear to understand. Thanks for creating a great app!

Not for the gigging professional.

Nice app for student or amateur player or music enthusiast. But not a substitute for a good pocket dictionary in the instrument case or good reference dictionary near at hand in ones practice room if your requirements are more serious.

Mr

Not enough info. Disappointing. Too generic.

Inquiring minds

This is an extremely unhelpful dictionary. For instance, it doesnt list common terms like countertenor or contrapuntal. Im deleting it from my apps.

Very good & Love it BUT need sound

Never buy!! Complete 

I am taking a very basic music class at my school and bought this to see if It could help me with basic terms, but so far not one term I needed to kno has been in this dictionary, I want a refund!!!

AP Music Theory student

This app is terrible. If you are a new musician and dont understand tempo markings or basic things like cresendo and decresendo... then its perfect. otherwise there is not enough information. period. it will not help anyone.

Teacher

Great app... Definitions are right on... Best music dictionary app available...good for music teachers and students...

Great app but

Please format for iPad users! Needs visuals. For the notation, a clear picture of a rest symbol for an example. Showing where it goes on the staff. Visuals visuals visuals! The bookmarks are cool. So, you can save definitions.

Fantastic

Great little piece of reference material in my phone. As a music teacher who operates music studios over 3 counties Im glad I leave the music dictionary at home. My only complaints are, 1) I wish I could enter definitions myself and 2) more info, 500 definitions is a god start but when is the next installment?

Needs more information!

Its not bad, but it needs more information, and more pictures along with the definitions. I cant exactly search an image, nor could I describe it in the search bar and have it come out. As of now, this is not worth even the dollar I paid for it. This would make a good free version, and a larger information database would be worth the dollar. I probably wont even look in this app again until there is an update.

Musictionary

Containing 500 words this app is sad. Any rudimentary standard dictionary has more information.

Not very thorough

I wanted to look up two words "tonality" and "modality", the fundamentals of music, and they were not there.

Perfect for learning!

This app has very simple definitions and is very easy to use. I am using it to teach music terms seen in the songbook at church. Highly recommended!
